Meet Cole Rise, co-founder of Particle, landscape photographer and popular iPhoneographer who recently also helped develop the four newest filters on Instagram.

As our new guest poster, Cole will be sharing some of his breathtaking images with us. Here is a taste of some of his inspiring photography. Cole say's,  

"That's basically my life mission - to capture beautiful places to remind people how lucky we all are to live on this planet. Share the earth from the perspective of an outsider. Share its fragility, and remind people of their surroundings. Instagram has been perfect for it." 

"For me it's about perspective. Landscapes can be vast and beautiful, but they also have a lengthy and evolving history, of which we're only a ridiculously small part of. From the perspective of a 76 million-year-old mountain range like the Rockies, we're a bunch of fast-moving, minuscule blips, but to us they seem huge, static and unchanging. It's kinda cool to consider - makes you feel small and temporary. It's also where we come from. I love that fact that we're all made of the same stuff. The iron you find in the ground is the same iron you find in our blood, which was literally made by the fusing of atoms in the center of stars."
